Producer Lope Yap has over thirty-eight years production experience in the motion picture industry.  He was the former Vice President Head of Production for Golden Leaf Pictures and has freelance production experience: i.e., emphasis in feature films, movies and episodic shows for television, (over 1,000) national/international commercials as a producer, production manager and/or 1st assistant director.  Lope also has extensive experience in specialty films, IMAX large format films, corporate industrials, music videos, short films and visual effects projects.

Lope has produced large format projects: San Francisco - The Movie and Spirit of Silicon Valley.  Second Unit Director/Production Manager/First Assistant Director for the 1996 Oscar Nominated Best Short Documentary (IMAX Film) “Special Effects - Anything Can Happen”, and has been associated with numerous distinguished projects including The Hunt For Red October, Titanic, Innerspace, The Ewok Adventure, Just Like Heaven.  His involvement in television includes: Farewell To Manzanar, Sucker Free City, Monk (television pilot and numerous episodic seasons), Chris Isaak Show, The Division, Party of Five and Beverly Hills 90210.  He was a Silver Telly Award Director Winner for a Juvenile Diabetes Public Service Announcement.

In 2007, Lope was recognized by his peers for his outstanding contributions and service to the Directors Guild of America - San Francisco Coordinating Committee.  And in 2006, Lope was inducted into The George Washington High School Hall of Merit (San Francisco, CA).  Presently living in Novato CA, Lope is married to Vera and has a daughter named Athena.
